Hello,
Thank you for your comment.
All our guitars are handmade in Spain.
here at Alhambra we wanted to share with you about the making of our guitars in a documentary, that will, hopefully, answer to all your questions as well as showing you the pride and and care we pour into our instruments.
You will also read how and when Alhambra was born.

Hey guys,
I’ve played nearly every model in the classical range, and some in the flamenco- I love them all and can’t wait to own one. I would really like to own an authentic heritage-quality instrument (meaning it was made in the exact techniques used by renaissance and andalucian luthiers). I’m convinced Alhambra doesn’t cut corners, but I’m still unsure about laminate versus solid sides and back panels. I’ve heard conflicting pros and cons for both, so can you please help me out? Is wood laminate sides and back a recent innovation or was it used in the instruments of classical luthiers?
thanks!
Hello,
it is important to make a distinction between laminate back and sides for sound and laminate for economic purpose.
Indian rosewood is way more expensive than laminate mahogany. Therefore, if we want to offer great guitars at good price, yes for the cheaper model we have to use laminate.
But some models like 5P or 6P have laminate rosewood and sound great.
Tell us exactly what you are looking for and your budget so we can help you better.
Thank you for your interest in Alhambra Guitars.
